Justin requested that I make snickerdoodles this week, except he didn’t just want the traditional ones. He wanted them to have a little fall spice to them. So we spent New Years eve cooking and baking in the kitchen together and we came up with the most amazing spiced snickerdoodle recipe. We think you’ll love it so much that we wanted to share it with you!

-1 tsp allspice
-1 tsp cinnamon
-1/2 tsp nutmeg
-2 eggs

-5 T sugar
-3 tsp cinnamon

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2. Mix together butter and sugar in a mixer until fluffy. Add in the egg and mix well.
3. Whisk together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, allspice, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a separate bowl. Add slowly to the wet mixture.
5. Mix the 5 tablespoons sugar and the cinnamon in a small ziploc bag or a bowl.
6. Form a heaping tablespoon of dough into a ball and roll around in the cinnamon and sugar mixture to coat well.
7. Place on baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes, but don’t let them become hard.
